What’s the old saying about a dog and new tricks? The energy efficiency landscape is constantly shifting, as are technologies, utility approaches and rules of engagement. Keeping contractors up to speed and engaged is a priority for energy efficiency programs. Comfort Ready Home, the residential program created by northwest utilities and BPA, has developed a nested adult learning approach to produce effective training and highly engaged and skilled contractors supporting programs. What’s a nested approach? It means that concepts are reiterated and expanded through multiple platforms and delivery mechanisms (hands-on, eLearning, one-on-one coaching). Each approach builds on, and emphasizes, the material to secure long-term retention. In this interactive breakout session, a panel of experts will walk the audience through the Comfort Ready Home training program.
