Deanna is the Marketing Director for the Homeowner Division at Pearl Certification, where she leads outreach to homeowners on behalf of Pearl's award-winning Green Door app. Prior to her work at Pearl, Deanna headed the Client Content Strategy and Customer Success teams at content-marketing pioneer Contently. There she established a program of content strategy education and development for Fortune 100 and 500 companies, one rooted in audience intelligence, data analysis, and imaginative storytelling. While at Contently, Deanna was invited to lead workshops and lectures at major financial, healthcare, and technology firms across North America. Armed with the strategies she custom designed, her clients have won multiple industry awards, including several Webby Awards.
After a decade in martech, Deanna searched for an opportunity to make an impact in the fight against climate change, and found in Pearl a perfect channel for significant change. By educating homeowners about the real financial, health, and quality-of-life benefits of energy efficiency and independence and providing an easy path to those benefits via Green Door, she hopes to be part of the solution to the US' GHG emissions problem. In her spare time, she hikes the Blue Ridge Mountains around Asheville, NC and spoils her cats.
