Tommi Makila

Technical Project Officer

Tommi Makila is a Technical Project Officer with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). He helps oversee technical aspects of the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) for several Grantees. Prior to joining the DOE WAP team in 2021, he was a longtime contractor to different DOE offices. Previously he also worked for the State Energy Office in Iowa. He holds a Master of Social Sciences degree from the University of Helsinki, Finland. Tommi resides in Maryland and enjoys walks in the woods, travel, hockey, and community advocacy.
