Becky Schaaf is a Senior Consultant with the Vermont Energy Investment Corporation. She supports VEIC’s work on TECH Clean California, a statewide initiative for decarbonizing residential buildings, providing strategic leadership and management to the Low-Income and Multifamily Pilots. She also designs policies and program strategies for sections of the State of New York’s Building Electrification Roadmap that address electrification of housing for low- and moderate-income residents and disadvantaged communities. With Energy Solutions, she has investigated cooling-related emissions in the northern half of the United States, making policy recommendations for equitable heat pump deployment. She is an expert in implementing sustainability programs in affordable housing. Prior to joining VEIC in 2021, Becky was a Senior Vice President for energy and sustainability at Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future (SAHF). She led its Big Reach Initiative, a collaboration among SAHF members in conserving water and energy use.
