David has been a technician (and always will be) since 1978.

​David has been instructing at the college level at Construction Industry Training Council (CITC) since 1991. He opened his own training school, HVAC Institute, Inc., out of Kent, WA in 2011. He is driven to provide electrical education that is “real world” application of electrical and mechanical code.

In 2017 David was voted the “Best Instructor Runner Up” in the nation by Plumbing, Heating, Cooling Contractors (PHCC).
