In 2021, Community Energy Project received funds from the Portland Clean Energy Fund to electrify and retrofit low-income, single-family homes. CEP uses an equity focused approach in program design and implantation that we will share. This session will also share lessons learned from our first year, discuss barriers and opportunities to electrification at the policy level, funding levels and within the homes. We will discuss how CEP uses a client centered and education approach to ensure clients understand how to manage and use new equipment. Learn more about the Portland Clean Energy Fund and how it is different from other funding streams. Finally, we will demonstrate how CEP’s approach can be a model for new federal IRA funding.
