Michaela Marincic has over five years of experience in the energy sector, working with both nonprofit and public agencies to evaluate energy efficiency programs. In May 2023, they completed an M.S. in Public Policy, Management, and Data Analytics at Carnegie Mellon University, where they managed the development of an open-access asset mapping tool for community development. Marincic has contributed to research on health benefits resulting from low-income residential weatherization throughout the Southeastern, Midwestern, and Northeastern United States in studies funded by the JPB Foundation, Massachusetts PAs, and the Tennessee Valley Authority. They have also led qualitative interviews with refugees to assess their unmet needs during the COVID-19 pandemic and performed numerous interviews with weatherization recipients about their health and well-being. They specialize in using data analytics, machine learning, and GIS for social good.
