KRIS GRUBE is a Clean Energy Project Manager for the Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund and specializes in the single-family home energy efficiency and renewable portfolio. She has 14 years of contracting experience as the owner and operator of a Home Performance business in Portland. Before joining PCEF, she managed housing anti-displacement projects for the Portland Housing Bureau’s Neighborhood Housing Preservation Program. With a Master of Social Work and deep experience in building science principles from many years as a Building Performance Institute (BPI) certified contractor, she brings a unique environmental justice vantage point to her work. Kris has been a strong champion for equitable contracting in energy efficiency programming and policy for many years. She helped create the first state-certified weatherization apprenticeship program in the country back in 2013. As the past president and board member of the Home Performance Contractors Guild, she has been a dedicated advocate for the residential energy efficiency, small business, and workforce sectors.
