Humans have known forever that Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) can affect occupant health. But we don't regulate indoor air quality in American's homes. Probably never will. Big changes came with Covid 19. Now most U.S. homeowners know about ventilation and virus transmission. And more big changes came with recently passed federal incentives, including tax credits and state rebates for renovating homes, increased budgets for weatherization programs and building codes. All of these developments have radically expanded the opportunities for improving homes, including home systems that affect IAQ. And IAQ Science is advancing, too. This session will dive into the changing landscape of IAQ: what's new in IAQ science, changing consumer expectations, innovative new technologies for managing IAQ, and how federal legislation can help.
