This half-day workshop will include an detailed discussion on proper air sealing techniques for building envelopes and duct systems. Ken Allison from IDI will cover multiple air sealing methods with various materials, including Aerobarrier: the automated air sealing product best suited for new construction and gut rehabs. Sam Myers from Retrotec will cover best practices for air tightness testing and how to justify if your air sealing job was installed as planned. There is new technology available to make test-in and test-out easier and more organized. We'll set up a blower door during the workshop and demonstrate different options to run tests and collect data.
