Mission Impossible: Your Next Mission-Integrated Assessment in Multi-family Buildings

Listen carefully Mister Phelps, your mission should you decide to accept it is attend this workshop and learn about a model process to guide the implementation of an integrated multifamily weatherization and healthy homes rehabilitation project from outreach through intervention. To perform this mission you’ll also need to use a unique integrated assessment checklist developed by The International Center for Appropriate and Sustainable Technology (ICAST), and Children’s Mercy Kansas City with funding from the HUD Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes. Come to the workshop Monday morning so that you can see how this integrated assessment tool allows you to simultaneously evaluate individual units in multifamily buildings for healthy homes, energy efficiency needs and lead hazard mitigation. We’ll provide an overview of this implementation model, the new assessment tool, hear about Inter-rater Reliability and get an opportunity to practice the use of the checklist in a real-world setting involving two units in a multi-family building.
